Fantastic overall condition! 

We believe the lower glass is a later addition and it would have originally functioned as a meat safe with metal mesh. A positive upgrade to keep the dust away! It also makes it a usable piece in a different context eg. the home office.

Note: Our pieces are all antique or vintage. Their patina and age is visible in the most beautiful way. Perfection on all surfaces is not the aim. Should you need more pictures of an item prior to purchasing, please contact us, we are happy to oblige.
